Blessed Re-Assurance

.

The song says," Blessed assurance, Jesus is mines." Oh yes he is! As new Christians we are excited, and on fire in the faith, we study our word and seek God earnestly, knowing what HIS word says. Then, as time goes on, although we are still in the faith we need to be revived, restored, rejuvenated, and RE-ASSURED that our breakthrough is on the way. That even though things look like they aren't going to work out, they will. The bible says," All things work together for the good of them that love God, and are called according to his purpose." ( Romans 8:28) God re-assures us through his word, but we have to read it people! We have to take the time to get to know God personally, and for ourselves. Church is always good to attend, the bible says not to forsake the assembly of the brethren, (Hebrews 10:25) but God wants us to develop a close relationship with him, he wants to commune with us. Which means he wants to fellowship with us. It was this desire to be close to us that brought Jesus our Saviour to earth. He was the sacrifice that closed the breach between God and man. Aforetime, priests had to offer up sacrifices for the sins of the people to be forgiven, but when Jesus shed his blood on the cross, his sacrifice was enough to pay for all of our sins! Whew! Now thats a big deal! That alone should keep us saved, and humbled by the love and generosity of Jesus to leave his throne and save a people that were stubborn, disobedient, and rebellious. God wants to give us life and that more abundantly. He wants to always remind us of his love and compassion for us his people. Take the rainbow as an example. After Noah was obedient in building the ark, God sent a great flood to overcome the Earth. The flood killed every living soul and creature that wasn't in the ark. After Noah offered a sweet smelling sacrifice to the Lord, after the great flood,(Gen. 8:21) God promised to never flood the earth again. He set the rainbow in the sky as a reminder of this covenant between him and the Earth. (Gen. 9:12-16)  So every time we see a rainbow we are re-assured that God keeps his promises.

In the test and trials of life, we have to remind ourselves of the goodness of the Lord, because he is faithful. It is not him that change but us. He is unwavering, and unchanging. We have to re-evaluate our faith. We say we believe in God but our hope is lost, or at all time low. This ought not to be so my friends. Sometimes we have to encourage ourselves in the Lord like David did in 1 Samuel 30:6. In the time of grief and despair, he encouraged himself to believe in the Lord his God. We have to do the same thing. We have to know, that we know, that we know, without a shadow of doubt that God is able, and no matter how long it takes that he will not break his promises or his covenant. God is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man that he should repent: hath he said and shall he do not? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make good? (Numbers 23:19) I think NOT! God is doing his part by re-assuring us, to walk by faith and not by sight, (2 Corinthians ;5:7), to hold on to his hand, to seek him, and ask him (Matthew 7:7) to faint not in tribulation, but to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might! (Ephesians 6:10) We have to do our part and believe! Mark 11:22 says,"Have faith in God." Hebrews 11:6 says," But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Romans 10:17 says," So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." and 1 Timothy 6:12 says," Fight the good fight of faith. So, even though we wait on the promises of God, and can't always see how he is going to work things out, when things are getting worse instead of getting better, God sends us a supernatural rainbow that declares his covenant with you in your life. That you shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. That we are more than conquerors through him that loved us( Romans 8:37) that we are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, and God is the Lord and his truth endureth to all generations. So get excited with me my brothers and sisters knowing that SURELY HE WILL BRING US OUT!!! Now raise ya hands if your sure! Lmbo
